            Lee Gilbert Kelley of Southport, Florida passed away peacefully at a local hospital on Tuesday, January 8, 2013.  He was 59.

 

            Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday, January 11, 2013 at Hartford City Cemetery in Hartford, AL with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Lee’s honor to Covenant Hospice, 107 W. 19^th Street, Panama City, FL 32408.

 

            Lee was born March 9, 1953 in Jackson County, Florida to the late Gilvria Lee and Mary Sue (Spear) Kelley.  He was a member of the Bay High School Class of 1971 and was retired from the Florida Park Service after many years of service.  He was also a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Lynn Haven, Florida.  Lee had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was also an accomplished artist specializing in wildlife and nature subjects.

 

            Survivors include his sisters, Patrice K. Ross (Larry) of Waxahachie, Texas and Abbie J. Bell (Mark) of Cary, NC, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

 

  The family would like to give a special “thank you” to Covenant Hospice.
