Lenora Kelley passed away on Monday, August 31, at Cullman Regional Hospital, in Cullman, Alabama, after an unexpected complication from an infection. Mrs. Kelley was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Lenora lost her husband, James Allen Kelley, in 1990. Lenora was born on November 16, 1929, in Coffee Springs, Alabama, to the late Orin and Jimmie Anderson. Mrs. Kelley spent many years as a resident of Dothan, Alabama. She was presently a resident of  North Alabama.

Mrs. Kelley is survived by her children, Janet Wright (Robert) from Sommerville, Al., Mark Kelley (Mary) from Midland Ga., Lydia Kelly (Matthew) from Sommerville, Al., and Keith Kelley (Jennifer), Helena, Al. Mrs. Kelley’s grandchildren include Kevin Kelley, Maura Kelley Nasralli (Houcine), Taylor Wright,Laura Ashley Smith, Joshua Wright, Davis Kelley, Ava Claire Kelley, and the late Kyle Justin Kelley. She leaves behind one great grandchild, Chase Logan Kelley.

Lenora is also survived by one brother, James Anderson ( Betty), Andalusia, Al., and two sisters, Orene Whatley, Chancellor, Al., and Brenda Garries ( the late Bill Garries), Dothan, Al. She also leaves behind several, wonderful nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Kelley attended the University of Alabama, and loved her Crimson Tide! She grew up in Coffee Springs, and helped her parents in their bee and honey business. She loved flowers and gardens, and was a tremendous cook! But more than anything, she loved her family, and they loved her.

Lenora (MeMe) will lie in state at Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva, Al. on Thursday, September 3, 2015 beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continuing until 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Jim (Daddy Jim) at the Coffee Springs City Cemetery with a graveside memorial at 11:30 a.m.
