Lessie Irene McGowan Morris of Geneva passed away at Wiregrass Medical Center on Monday, October 21, 2013.  She was 41.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 24, 2013 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Eddie Eaton officiating.  Burial will follow in West Pittman Baptist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will received friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. 

 Lessie was born in Geneva on March 17, 1972.  She was a graduate of Geneva High School, Class of 1990.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ervin and Claudie Creel; paternal grandparents, W.D. and Lessie McGowan; and two sisters, Sandra Allred and Wanda Levans.

 She is survived by her husband, Rusty Morris; four children, River Allan Morris, Richard Peak, Lee Elmore, III and Macie Cheyenne Phillips; step-daughter, Alana Brooke Morris; mother, Jimmie Smith (Jimmy), all of Geneva; father, Jerry McGowan (Betty); sister, Teresa Mitchell (Scott) all of Westville, Fla.; six step-brothers; mother-in-law, Liz Morris; special aunt, Laura Seay, both of Geneva; and several nieces and nephews.
