Linda L. Smith, age 62, of Dothan passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014.

 

Born December 21, 1951 in Fort Bragg, NC to the late Nelson (Lindy) and Margaret (Helen) Bromley Lindstrand, Mrs. Smith was a retired registered nurse. She was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren, and she enjoyed playing golf and being an artist. A member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Mrs. Smith loved her church family and enjoyed singing in the church choir.

 

Survivors include her husband, Harry Smith, Dothan; her sons, Randy (Amanda) Smith and Kevin (Haley) Smith, both of Dothan; her sister, Barbara Bedsole, Dothan; her grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Tyson Smith, and Brody Smith; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Funeral services will be Friday, April 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Reverend Ray Jones, Reverend Tim Willis, and Mrs. Margaret Kennedy officiating. There will be a private graveside service following for family only. The family will receive friends at Ridgecrest Baptist Church Friday, April 4, 2014 from 12:00 PM until service time. At all other times, the family will be at the home of her son at 102 Teal Trail in Dothan.

 

Honorary pallbearers will be Margaret Kennedy’s Sunday School Class and the Ridgecrest Adult Choir.

 

The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Scott McCallister & Staff, Dr. Grant & Staff at U. A. B., Dr. Hejal Patel & Staff.

 

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Ridgecrest Building Fund, Ridgecrest Music Department, or American Cancer Society.
