Sue Thweatt, 64, of Midland City passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.


Funeral services will be held 3pm Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2pm until service time.


Sue was born March 3, 1950 in Geneva County and she resided the early years of her life in Northwest Florida. She moved to Midland City in 1970 and was employed with Mutual Savings and Globe Motors for several years until her retirement in 2000. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Nettie Ward; a sister, Ellen Hall; a brother, Jerome Ward.


Survivors include, her husband, Carl Thweatt; her son, David (Rosa) Thweatt; her daughter, Tracie Thweatt; two grandsons, Wesley and Kenny Thweatt and the mother of her grandchildren, Teresa Shortsleeve; her brothers, Ralph Ward, Johnny Paul Ward, Jerry (Kathy) Ward; her sisters, Kate (Jim) Belmont, Louise Greer, Patsy Steverson and Brenda Stanford; her sister-in-law, JoAnn Ward; several nieces and nephews.
