Louie Carol Pilcher passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Noland Hospital at the age of 83.


 


Louie Pilcher was born to the late Louie Crayton Pilcher and Florence Wright of Houston, County on February 23, 1933.  Mr. Pilcher is survived by his niece and nephew, Dr. Claire E. Brown of Port Royal, South Carolina and Dr. Larry Randolph "Randy" Brown of Scottsdale, Arizona.


 


Mr. Pilcher received his formal education from Tulane University of New Orleans, LA receiving his Master’s in English in 1961. He also studied the German Language and Literature in the School of Liberal Arts in 1964 from Carlo Ruprecht University in Heidelberg, Germany.


 


Louie Pilcher served his country in the U.S. Army as a SP-3 and after serving that rank for two years he was assigned to Region VIII 66th Counterintelligence Corps, U.S. Army Europe, Berlin, Germany, as a Special Agent on civilian status.


His career life included working as a salesman in various cities and advertising to businesses in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.


 


Memorial services will be held at 10 AM, Friday, October 21, 2016 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will be accepting flowers and contributions to the Dothan Salvation Army.
