Louie Wayne Shiver, 67, a resident of Dothan departed this life Monday, February 22, 2016 at his residence.

Memorial services will be held at 11am Saturday, February 27, 2016 at New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Fryer officiating. Sunset Memorial Park is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Louie Wayne Shiver was born to the late Mr. Byrd and Teary Shiver on December 28, 1948 in Dothan, Alabama. Mr. Shiver was married to Girlie Harris in 1978.

He was proceeded by his siblings Albert Shiver, Betty Snipes, Steven Shiver, Willie Shiver, and Barbara Hinton.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Girlie Shiver; his children, Samantha Shiver, Chris (Patricia) Shiver, Ramona Shiver, James (Mary) Harris, and Diane (Lacy) Martins; a host of grand and great grand children; one sister, Augusta White; seven sisters-in-law, Carolyn Powe, Willie Mae (Willie) Powe, Bobbie Finch, Jerry Harris, Jane Harris, Annie Jean Shiver, and Gladys Shiver; two brothers-in-law, Herbert (Rosie) Harris and Johnny (Alice) Harris; a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends; a special friend, Stephanie Davis.
