LOUIS  COBB



WEBB…..Louis Cobb, a resident of Webb, died late Tuesday afternoon, December 30, 2014, in a Dothan hospital. He was 88.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 2, 2015, in the Webb Baptist Church with Reverend Joel Laseter officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Friday in the church sanctuary.


            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Webb Cemetery Fund, c/o Lamar Ivey, 3051 Enon Road, Webb, Alabama 36376.


            Mr. Cobb, son of the late Eugene Cobb and Lovie Price Cobb, was born and reared in Dale County. He lived in Enterprise most of his adult lifetime and moved to Webb twelve years ago. Mr. Cobb served his country in the United States Army and also the United States Air Force. He was retired as the owner and operator of Cobb Electric in Enterprise. Mr. Cobb was a member of the Webb Baptist Church and the Masonic Order. He was preceded in death by a son, Johnnie Ray Cobb; two sisters, and four brothers.


            Surviving relatives include his wife, Sarah Cobb, Webb; three daughters, Cathie Jordan (Roy), Coffee Springs, AL; Kay Ivey (Lamar), Webb, and Sally Weeks, Dothan; a son, Larry Cobb (Debbie), High Springs, FL; a sister, Jean Ogburn, Newton; three brothers, Henry Cobb and Jerome Cobb, both of Chancellor, and Sam Cobb, El Paso, TX.; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
