Obituary: Virgil L. Danielson

 

LTC. (Ret) Virgil L. Danielson of Enterprise passed away Saturday April 25, 2015.  He was 91.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday April 29, 2015 at Woodlawn Memory Gardens in Ozark, Alabama with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise directing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Army Aviation Museum Foundation, 6000 Novosel St., Ft. Rucker, AL 36362.

LTC. Danielson was born April 10, 1924 in Smolan, Kansas to the late Albert Leonard and Theresa Danielson.  He retired from the US Army with 30 years of service.  He was a master army aviator, a Veteran of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Nell Harrod Danielson, Enterprise AL; 1 daughter Leslie Carmichael (Mark) Prattville, AL; 2 sons: Roger Danielson, Baltimore, MD, Mark Danielson (Jan) Enterprise, AL, 6 grandchildren: Christopher, Eric and Matthew Danielson, Emily Stone, Ben and Dana Carmichael Acharya and 7 great-grandchildren.
