Lucas Gibson, age 35, passed away, Monday, December 15, 2014 in Athens, GA.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 2:00 P.M., at New Home Baptist Church, County Road 617 with Pastors Cliff Quincey and Lane Harris officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1:00 until service time.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Home Baptist Church or to the family.

Born in Enterprise, AL, he was the son of Dan and Debra Baxley Gibson of Enterprise, AL.  Lucas was a Field Engineer for Brassfield & Gorrie General Contractors and a member of Watkinsville First Baptist Church.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Carrie Owen Gibson and parents, include his three children, Olivia Jean Owen; Mattie Grace Gibson; Andrew John Gibson; sisters, Leslie Ann Gibson; Lori (Joey) Snell; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Jill Owen; sister-in-law, Stacy Owen; nephew, Gibson Ellis Snell; niece, Gracyn Elliot Snell; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
