Lula B. Osborne, age 90, of Samson, Ala. and formerly of Orlando, Fla. passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014.  The family will receive friends in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. EDT on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Fla.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 12:00 Noon until service time.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.


Mrs. Osborne was born in St. Albans, West Virginia to the late Walter J. Woods and Nora Mae Henretty Woods on April 25, 1924.  She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ for all of her adult life.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin D. Osborne; and seven of her siblings.


She is survived by her son, Max Osborne of Orlando; two daughters, Jeanette Osborne and Linda Rodgers (Mack), both of Samson; three granddaughters, Laura Osborne, Kate Osborne, both of Orlando and Crystal Kilcrease (Jason) of Kinston, Ala.; two great grandchildren, Benjamin McCollough and Cierra McCollough, both of Kinston; three brothers, Jack Woods (Betty), Jim Woods (Joann) and Fred Woods (Carol); and numerous nieces and nephews.
