Mr. Mack Author Kilpatrick of Samson passed away in a Dothan Hospital on Friday, April 25, 2014. He was 65. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with the Rev. Sam Totten officiating. Burial will follow in Travelers Rest Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.  


Mr. Kilpatrick was born in Samson, AL on November 5, 1948 to the late Willie Lee and Reba Merle Kilpatrick. Mack loved to fish and play the guitar. He also loved Alabama Football. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Yvonne Prescott and Sharon Heartwell; one brother, Emmette Kilpatrick; one grandson, Cameron Kilpatrick.


He is survived by his wife, Burnese Price Kilpatrick of Samson; one son, Chris Kilpatrick (Sandra) of Geneva; two grandchildren, Colton Kilpatrick of Crestview, FL and Brooklyn Kilpatrick of Geneva; three sisters, Annette Frazer of Samson, Terri Hertzberg (Lou) of Enterprise and Tammy Day (Bud) of Freeport, FL; brother, Roger Kilpatrick (Nina) of Samson; step-sister, Vickie Bannin of Enterprise; and several nieces and nephews.
