Mrs. Maria Nelson of Enterprise passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Medical Center Enterprise.  She was 90

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2014 in the Chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise with Pastor James Endrihs officiating.  Burial will follow in Daleville Memorial Gardens with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time.

Mrs. Nelson was born February 22, 1924 in Linz, Austria to the late Leopold and Christine Scheubar Schutzenberger.  She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Enterprise.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Vannin Nelson Sr. preceded her in death.

Survivors include 2 sons: Hans Peter Schutzenberger of Germany and Van Nelson (Cindy) of Guin, Alabama; 3 grandchildren: Joel Nelson, Jessica Nelson, and Thomas Schutzenberger.
