Martin J. Laster of Enterprise, AL, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, at his home.  He was 84.

       Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 29, 2013, at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tony Dye officiating.  Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.   The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 1:15PM until service time.

       Mr. Laster retired from the US Army after 20 years, where he served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.

       He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Boyd Laster; son, David J. Laster.

       Survivors include a daughter, Lorene McDaniel (Mark), Enterprise, AL; son, Sam Laster (Cheryl), Pace, FL; 2 sisters, Mae Templeton, Elkin, NC, Ruth Smith, Jonesville, NC; brother, Clyde Laster (Gladys), Kernersville, NC; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
