Mary Ellen Smith Ball of Geneva passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016. She was 61. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later time.

Mrs. Ball was born in Houston County on January 6, 1955, to the late Louie and Ruby Smith. She was preceded in death by one brother.

She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Chris Ball of Geneva; daughter, Mary “Shelly” Shilling (William); Four grandchildren, Will Jr. Shilling, Zachary Shilling, Matthew Shilling and Joshua Shilling All of Geneva; two step-children, Jordan Ball of  Enterprise and Kristy Rodgers(Chris) of  Dothan; two step grandchildren, Mason Drake and Logan Rodgers;  four siblings, Gussie, Faye, Johnny, and Ray; her beloved dogs, Cletus and Molly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
