Mary Frances Barnes VanLandingham of Geneva passed away on December 03, 2014. She was 91. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 05, 2014 at Hartford City Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Chris Adams officiating and Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.

The family request that in lieu of flowers and food, that memorial contribution be made to the, Alzheimer’s Resource Center, P.O. Box 1170, Dothan, AL, 36302.  

Mrs. VanLandingham was born in Hartford, AL on September 30, 1923 to the late Homer and Bessie Wilks Barnes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur VanLandingham; one brother, Felix Barnes; one sister, Sarah Chancy and one nephew, Edwin Barnes.

She is survived by one niece and nephew, Genia Vanlandingham (Frank) of Geneva; great niece and nephew, Tessa Vanlandingham of Pace, FL and Damon Vanlandingham of Milton, FL; two great- great  nephews, Chris Vanlandingham of Navarre, FL and Tyler Vanlandingham of Tallahassee, FL; one great-great niece, Chancy Vanlandingham of Pace, FL.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Gentiva Hospice, Dr. David Arnold and also special loving caregivers, Barbara, Aspen and Julie.
