Mary Frances McDonald of Geneva passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016.  She was 87.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m.  on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Joel Snell and Rev. Duke Barrow officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Mrs. McDonald was born in Kenansville, NC on September 20, 1928, to the late Robert Ellis, Sr. and Annie Lee Ellis.  She was a member of the Abundant Life Church.  She loved going to church and enjoyed tending to her flowers.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. McDonald, Sr.; son, Junior Alvin Franklin; grandson, David Franklin, Jr.; two sisters and a brother.

She is survived by her daughter, Joan F. Brown (Michael) of Slocomb; son, David L. Franklin, Sr. (Linda) of Enterprise; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Robert T. Ellis, Jr. (Betty) of Tennessee.
