Mary G. Gauthreaux
Mary G. Gauthreaux, of Dothan, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2014 at her residence. She was born in 1920 in Houma, LA. She spent most of her life in the southern area of Louisiana and loved it. But when her grandchildren came along she and her husband, Gerard, moved to Dothan in 1981.
Memorial services will be held @ 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2627 E. Cottonwood Road, with David Dick officiating.
Mrs. Gauthreaux has been one of Jehovah's witnesses since 1942. She loved telling people about Jehovah God and his wonderful purpose of soon making this earth the paradise he intended when he created man. She helped many people to learn by personal home Bible study.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jeanie Douglas (Mel) and Sherry Littleton (Tom), all of Dothan: three grandsons, Eric Douglas (Melissa) of Kirkland, WA, Todd Douglas (Ashley) of Mobile, AL and Casey Littleton (Ashleigh) of Dothan: 3 great grandchildren, Finn Douglas, of Kirkland, WA, Sophia and Audrey Douglas of Mobile, AL. She is also survived by one of her 5 siblings, Judy Smith (John) of Houma, LA.
