Mary Joan Parker of Enterprise departed Arbor Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016, when Jesus fulfilled His promise to her and took her home to be with Him.  She was 76.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Providence United Methodist Church with Rev. Billy Joe Williams officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing.  The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday beginning at 1:00 and continuing until service time. 

Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to the Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 4693 State Highway 85, Chancellor, AL 36316.

Ms. Parker was born September 10, 1939, in Geneva County, to the late William Eudon and Mary Frank Howell Grace.  She loved unconditionally, and in return, she was loved by all who knew her.  She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, service, compassion, and joy. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, and she was a shining example of God’s love and grace.

In addition to her parents, a sister, Kathleen G. Jones, and a brother, William Ray Grace, preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, David Brock Parker, his wife, Amy, and children, Alyssa and David of Opelika; two sisters: Mavis McCarthy (David) of Milton, FL, and Jeanora Grace of Chancellor; one brother, Delton Grace of Chancellor; special nieces: Susan, Julie, Stephanie, Dana, Jennifer, and Miranda; special nephews: Joseph, William, Chris, Keith, Casey and Corey; several great nieces and nephews.
