Mary Lou Shirah, age 91, of Level Plains, AL, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Level Plains on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Brother Sam Tate and Brother Mike Foreman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at Searcy Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 19^th from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her father and mother, W. A. & Huntice Cain; husband & father of her children, Claude Thomas, husband, Wilburn Shirah, infant daughter, Martha Jean Thomas & two brothers, Odis Cain & Paul Cain.

Survivors include two children, Lamar (Janet) Thomas; Brenda (Roger) Hogan; six grandchildren, Les (Stacey) Hogan; Jessica (Dan) Gibbs; Claudette (Forrest) Sims; Rebecca (Tyler) Pace; Brandis (Aaron) Hicks; Brandon (Samantha) Ray; seventeen great-grandchildren, Alex Thomas, Andrew Pace; Riley & John Thomas Sims; Maureen, Shannon, Erin, Fiona, Eamon, William & Myra Gibbs; Ella, Hub & John David Hogan; Caleb & Connor Poarch; Oakley Hicks; several nieces and nephews.
