Mary Lynn Ellis of Troy, Alabama (Spring Hill) passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 at UAB.  She was 58.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015 at New Ebenezer Baptist Church in Elba with Reverend Larry Doster officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5:00 – 7:00.

Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or UAB Heart and Lung Transplant Unit, 619 19^th Street South, Birmingham, AL 35249.

Lynn was born December 20, 1956 in Elba, AL to Mary Donaldson and the late Mack Donaldson.  She was a graduate of Elba High School, where she made many lifetime friends.  She enjoyed her life and spending time with her family, especially on holidays and birthdays.

Survivors include her husband, Max Ellis of Troy; mother, Mary Donaldson of Elba; sister and brother-in-law, Roxie and Larry Doster of Enterprise; children, Joseph and Shelane Colvin of Maryville, TN, Katie and Eric Smith of Jack, AL (Zion Chapel), and Walt and Morgan Ellis of Dothan; grandchildren, Eden and Evie Kate Colvin, Parker Sanford, Pacyn Smith, and Watson Ellis; numerous other relatives and friends.
