Mrs. Mary Yohn Tidwell of New Brockton passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at home surrounded by her family.  She was 85.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise with Reverend Roy Turner officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hardshell Primitive Baptist Cemetery in New Brockton with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Mary was born August 14, 1929, in Coffee County, to the late Cleveland and Madie Deal Yohn.  She was a dedicated member of Vanderbilt Holiness Tabernacle in Jack for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy Hanson, as well as two sisters.

Survivors include her husband, John Tidwell of New Brockton; a daughter, Mary Troutman of Hawaii; a son, Johnny Tidwell (Carolyn) of Chancellor; 2 sisters: Louise Gamble and Elouise Purvis, both of New Brockton; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
