Matt Ledford, age 62, of Daleville, AL, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at his home.

Memorial and visitation will be held Friday, June 27^th from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory.

Matt owned and operated Westgate Gulf/BP from 1995 until the business closed in 2008, having worked at the station since 1968.  He worked as warehouse manager in the heating and cooling business from 2010 until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lee Ledford and Ronnie Ledford, a sister, Gloria Ledford and his father-in-law, Clarence Peters.

Survivors include his wife, Jennie Ledford; daughter, Lora Bright (Chock); granddaughter, Ivy Bright, all of  Daleville, AL; brother, Paul Ledford (Janice) Colorado Springs, CO; sisters, Brenda McLean (Bruce) Panama City, FL; Mona Ledford, Huntsville, AL; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Syble Peters, Daleville; brother-in-law, Jerry Peters, Deatsville, AL; sister-in-law, Barbara Leal (Ray) San Antonio, TX.
