Max Brown, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015 in a local hospital. He was 49.


Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Morris. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-3pm.


Max was born on May 7, 1966 in Orange, Texas. He graduated from Little Cypress Mauriceville High School in Orange, TX, and later joined the US Air Force where he served for 4 years. While in the Air Force he was an A & P mechanic and was currently working as lead sheet metal mechanic with a commercial jet service. Max was an avid outdoorsman, but fishing was a favorite. He loved cooking, hanging out by his fire-pit in his man-cave with his family and friends. Max was a kind, sweet spirited man who will be sorely missed by all.


Survivors include his wife, Angie Soileau; his son, Cody Brown; his daughter, McKinzi Brown; his step-sons, Dustin and Michael Soileau; his grandchildren, Zayden Blake Brown and Ethan Soileau; his step-mother, Loretta Brown; his sister, Robbie (Travis) Phillips; his 2 brothers, David (Monica) Brown and Scott (Arlene) Brown; his step-brother, Troy (Raquel) Brown; several nieces and nephews.
