Maxie Lorene Parker Averett of Level Plains, AL, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014 at her home.  She was 87.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Mike Foreman officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until service time.  Memorial contributions may be made to: Team RWB (Wounded Warrior), c/o Jerry Wood, 101 Live Oak Drive, Enterprise, AL  36330.

Mrs. Averett was preceded in death by her husband, Shelley Junior Averett; daughter, Kathy Jo Dudley; grandson, Michael Shelley Maloy.

Survivors include three daughters, Ann Maloy, Level Plains, AL, Carole Power, Enterprise, AL, Laura Averett Wyrosdick, Enterprise, AL; son, Mike Averett (Ann), Level Plains, AL; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; 3 brothers; numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
