Mrs. Merle Dunn Holley of Samson passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013.  She was 85.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Samson First United Methodist Church with Rev. Andy Blackmon officiating.  Burial will follow in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing.  The family will receive friends prior to the service Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

 Mrs. Holley was born in Geneva County on August 19, 1927 to the late Edgar and Bonnie Wise Dunn.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Jack Holley; and brother, Alfred Dunn.

 She is survived by her daughter, Martha Gail Windham (Johnny) of Samson; brother, Tommy Dunn of Knoxville, TN; two sisters-in-law, JoAnne Milton of Geneva and Nell Dunn of Hacoda; two grandchildren, Trey Faulk (Jennifer) of Samson and Eric Windham (Kelley) of Elba; four great grandchildren, Treyton Faulk and Hattie Faulk, both of Samson, Morgan Windham and Steed Windham, both of Elba.
