Michael Chad Ingram, age 33, was received into the arms of our Lord and Savior, Monday, January 26, 2015, after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

Chad was born Metairie, LA where he resided for most of his life before returning to Ft. Walton Beach, FL.

Prior to his diagnosis, Chad was a dedicated employee of Wal-Mart. He would often arrive an hour early for work and leave hours after his shift ended. He felt needed and enjoyed helping others, always with a smile. He was inspired by Drew Brees, forever being a “Saints” fan. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Avondale, LA where he cherished many conversations with his beloved Pastor, Dr. Marc Daniels. Through his faith, he was very grateful for the support and prayers he received from his church.

Chad was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Warren and Bess Potter; his paternal grandfather, Manley G. Ingram; and his step-father, Merritt Frederick.

Survivors include his father, Keith Ingram; his sister, Delaney Ingram; his mother, Karen Frederick; his brothers, Robert Frederick and Christopher Frederick; his sister, Megan Frederick; his nieces and nephews, Ally, Avery, Cameron, and Robert; his aunt and uncle, Simone and Joe Early; his cousins, Adreanna (Raymond) Early and Melissa Early; his devoted and loving grandmother, Sue Ingram; and many other extended family members.

We will forever be grateful to all of the staff of Emerald Coast Center for accepting him with love and care.

The family would like to give special thanks to Michelle Lee for her unwavering support, hugs and laughter before and during this difficult time; also Billy and Donna Rivers who were instrumental in getting Chad to Florida; Doris Chapman for sending Pastor Marc’s sermons which brought much comfort to Chad; and lastly his great aunt and uncle, Linda and Bill Thorne for their frequent visits, calls, cards, and gifts that made Chad feel so special.

Funeral services will be held at Ward Wilson Funeral Home, Friday, January 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Brother Coley Holloway officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

Chad’s life was short and full of pain. He had hopes and dreams of getting married and often proposed jokingly to his nurses. We will dearly miss his beautiful blue eyes and bright smile. We are forever changed because of his tremendous strength. His often spoken words were, “It is what it is”. Paradise awaits him with open arms and now he is free. “We love you buddy!”
