Michael Craig Hamm, a resident of Dothan, passed away Thursday night, August 20, 2015 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Michael was born in Port Arthur Texas in April of 1956 but grew up in Abbeville, AL. He is a graduate of Abbeville Christian Academy and was Veteran of the U.S. Army. Michael has lived in the Wiregrass area the past 25 years working as a Radiology Technician at several of the area hospitals. Michael had a very compassionate heart for others and was always willing to lend a helping hand and offer a smile where needed. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Aubrey Leon Hamm.

Michael is survived by his 25 year old son, Alec Aubrey Hamm, Hoover, AL; mother, Renate Heurich Hamm, Dothan; brothers, Stephen O'neal Hamm, Wetumpka and Alan Leon Hamm, Almond, NC; sister, Heidi Hamm Restrepo, Dothan; and several nieces and nephews.
