Mike was an electrician by trade all of his life and he and his wife, Jo Davis, started Michael Davis Electric Co., Inc. together. The business was primarily new residential over five counties in Jacksonville, Florida and the surrounding area. After 20 years of a successful business, they closed the business and moved to Dothan, Alabama on April 2014 to enjoy their retirement years. Six weeks after moving to Alabama Mike was diagnosed with cancer and the life of retirement took a different route than expected.

Mike served as a Deacon for many years at Ridgewood Baptist Church in Orange Park, Florida before moving to Alabama. While living in Florida he lead the Men's Ministry for 11 years and began the first Men's Annual Outreach Event called the "Beast Feast." Many attended over the years and grew to a number of over 300 attending to hear speakers, well known as hunters or fishermen that were Christians. Many men accepted Christ as their Savior through this ministry. Mike is presently a member of Cornerstone Church in Dothan, Alabama.
