Mike Leon Brooks of Enterprise (Level Plains) passed away on Saturday August 23, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness.  He was 59.

In keeping with his wishes memorialization will be by cremation with a celebration of his life being held at a later date with his family.

Mike was born August 30, 1954 in Coffee County to the late Emmanuel and Winnie Mae Wise Brooks.  He was employed with the Coffee County road department.  In addition to his parents his twin brother as well as another brother, one sister, and his step daughter preceded him in death.

Survivors include:  His wife Peggy Thomas of Enterprise, one son: Michael Brooks of Level Plains, three sisters Betty Wheeler, and Jo Helen Kirkland both of Enterprise, Terry Brooks, Level Plains, one brother: Gerald Brooks, Level Plains, mother in law: Edi Thomas of Level Plains, three grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
