Mildred M. McNab


 Mildred M. McNab, went home to be with the Lord Monday evening, September 28, 2015. She was 94.


Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Glenn and Tim Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday prior to service time.  


Mrs. McNab was born July 26, 1921 in Dale County to Charlie and Belle Murphy. She lived most of her life in Dothan. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church where she was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class.


Mrs. McNab worked at the Dothan Hosiery Mill and Sears Drapery Department where she made custom drapes.


She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, J.O. McNab, a sister, Maurine Bullock and a brother, Leonard Murphy.


Survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Lindsay (Jim), a son, Jackie McNab (Patsy); four grandchildren, Jeff Lindsay (Marianne), Jia Lindsay, Laurisan Williams (Jonathan), Christa Glenn (Gary); five great-grandchildren, Madi and Lilli Williams, Adam Glenn, Cade Lindsay and Caroline Lindsay; several nieces and nephews and many sweet friends.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Hospice, 1512 W. Main St, Dothan, AL 36301 or the Joy Sunday School Class, c/o Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 1231 Fortner St., Dothan, AL.


Pallbearers will be Gary Glenn, Jonathan Williams, Jeff Lindsay and Michael Bullock.
