Mildred Mae Stephenson Spalding of Ozark passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Dale Medical Center.  She was 89 years of age.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Newton City Cemetery with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing.  Visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday, August 15 at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Mrs. Spalding was born February 19, 1925 in Crawford County, Indiana to Omer F. and Edith Adams Stephenson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles Henry Spalding.

Mrs. Spalding is survived by her daughters, Sherri J. Alley and her husband Gary of Ozark, Karen K. Barnett and her husband Ron of Poquoson, VA., Deborah Lyons and her husband Mike of California; her sister, Lucille Lohden of Daytona Beach, FL.; also surviving are her five grandchildren, Tiffany, Shannon, Jason, David and Angie and four great-grandchildren.
