OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK

Mrs. Miriam Jean Woodard Stafford, age 79, of Clio, died Sunday, December 2, 2012, in Noble Manor Nursing Facility.


Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, December 5, 2012, from Elamville Assembly of God Church with Reverend Kenneth Earles officiating. Interment will follow in Elam Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.   The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday evening from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.


Mrs. Stafford was born April 19, 1933, in Barbour County to the late Bascom Porter Woodard and Lula Ladora Thompson. She worked with Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation for over 42 years until her retirement.  Mrs. Stafford was an active member of Elamville Assembly of God Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Harvey Stafford; Daughter, Marsha Stafford; two sisters, Nell Portwood and Naomi McGuire; and one brother, Haywood Woodard.


Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Sherman and Janiece Stafford of Troy;


three grandchildren,  Craig and Becky Stafford, Shaniece and Jeremy Price, Angie and Chris Folkes, five great grandchildren, Alexandra and Madison Folkes; Anna and Ryan Price, and Dakota Stafford


Flowers will be accepted or memorials made to Elamville Assembly of God Church, C/O Jeannie Parrish, 49 Church Street, Ariton, Alabama 36311
