 Obituary: Miss Elizabeth Ann Palmer


 


Miss Elizabeth Ann Palmer of Hartford passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Hartford Health Care. She was 82. 


Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16 in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Cook officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing. 


The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. 


Miss Palmer was born September 26, 1930 in Geneva County to the late J.D. and Edna Palmer. After graduating from Geneva County High School, Elizabeth earned her teaching degree from Auburn University. After thirty two years as an educator she retired from the Florida School System. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hartford. 


In addition to her parents an infant sister, Shelby Jean Palmer preceded her in death. 


Survivors include one brother, William Grant Palmer, Dothan; two nieces: Rosemary Hunber (Gerald), Alexander City, AL and Susan Hick (Scott), Lebanon, OH; two great nieces; two great nephews; caregivers, Billy and Lois Hatcher, Hartford; and many friends.
