Mr. Allen Glynn Hicks, age 51, a resident of Columbia died Saturday April 25, 2015 at the SAMC after an extended illness.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday April 28, 2015 at the Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery in Avon with Pastor Troy West officiating and Kendall Glover directing.

The family will be receiving friends following the services at the home of Ms. Linda Brown, 14896 East Hwy. 52, Columbia, Al.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.

Mr. Hicks was born on October 17, 1963 in Trenton, Tennessee and moved to Alabama in 1980.  Allen worked as a Plasterer in the construction industry and enjoyed fishing and collecting rocks and arrowheads.  He was a dungeon master and a sketch artist.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Hicks.

Survivors include: mother, Linda Brown, Columbia; a son, Matthew Hicks, Louisville, Ky.; two daughters, Kayla Aultman, Louisville, Ky.; Ariel Bardroff, Winter Haven, Fl.; two sisters, Lori Downes, Pickens, S.C.; Leann Gibson, Columbia; 1 grandson, Alex Bardroff, Winter Haven, Fl.; several nieces, nephews & great-nieces, great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be: Matthew Hicks, Andrew Thompson, Robert Talliaferro, Jimmy McGrew, Jacob Baker and Robbie Campbell
