Austin Gyndlen Estes, Jr., a resident of Taylor died Tuesday September 30, 2014 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 80 years old.


 


Memorial services for Mr. Estes will be held at 2 PM Saturday October 4, 2014 at Dothan Church of God with Lafayette Wingate officiating. The family will receive friends at the church.


 


Mr. Estes was born April 23, 1934 to the late Levi Austin and Mattie Amanda Bout well Estes. He worked for Texas Steel and Aesco Steel as a heavy equipment operator and retired from the Town of Taylor water department.


 


Mr. Estes is survived by his wife, Pam Estes, Taylor, two daughters, Amanda Leigh Strickland, Panama City, Madeline Gabriel Estes, Taylor; three sons, Gyn Estes (Charlotte), Ft. Worth, TX, James Kent Stephens (Linda), Philadelphia, MS, Matthew Austin Estes (Kathryn), Taylor; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Joan Loper (Gene), Decatur, MS and a brother, Curtis Estes, Meridian, MS.
