Mr. Barney Whitfield McArdle III, age 87, a resident of Dothan, died early Friday, April 1, 2016 in Dothan.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday April 3, 2016 at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Memphis Baptist Church Cemetery with Kendall Glover directing. 

The family will be receiving friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday at Glover Funeral Home.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Memorial Chair Shirley Marlow, 407 Olympia Drive, Dothan, AL. 36301.

Mr. McArdle was born on September 8, 1928 in Kinsey the son of Barney Whitfield McArdle, Jr. and Lucy Janice McArdle.  He worked for several years with Thomley’s Heat and Air and also worked in lawncare for a number of years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Annie Merle Fowler McArdle.

Survivors include: 2 sons, Greg McArdle, Ft. Deposit; Danny McArdle (Ruth), Dothan; 3 grandchildren, Randall Collins, Ashley McArdle and Callie Amanda McArdle; 7 great-grandchildren, Dixie McArdle, Gregory Chance McArdle, Joseph “Whit”McArdle, Adelia Williams, Raiden Collins, M.J. Pedrazzani and Cooper Pedrazzani.

Active pallbearers will be: Robert Baskins, Randall Collins, Michael Pedrazzani, Michael Fowler, Scott Chapman and Ray Arnold.
