Mr. Bennie Franklin Baine of Samson, Alabama passed away December 23, 2015 at the home of his son in Eufaula, AL. He was 78.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 28, 2015 in the Chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Jimmy Eddins and Rev. Donnie Earles officiating.  Burial will follow in Travelers Rest Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. The family will accept flowers or contributions may be made to, Gentiva Hospice.  

Bennie was born May 25, 1937 in Geneva County, Alabama to the late James Abraham and Millie Phillips Baine. He attended Samson First Assembly of God. He was a retired fire fighter with the city of Enterprise, AL. Mr. Baine enjoyed telling jokes and felt God’s calling for him was to make people laugh and to see humor in life. He was affectionately known as PaPa.

Bennie was preceded in death by his parents, his Wife, Dorothy Baine; three sisters, Jessie Miller, Clara Ward, and Myrtie Phillips; four brothers, Early, Clifton, Willard and Clarence Baine.

Survivors include two sons, Jeff Baine of Samson, AL and Jon E. “Avery” Baine (Mindy) of Eufaula, AL; four grandchildren Teera Baine of Memphis, TN, Yhonna Baine and fiancé Kyle Sparks of Samson, AL, Sierra Baine and Ricky Baine both of Eufaula, AL; one great granddaughter, Kenleigh Sparks of Kinston, AL; one sister, Lillie Mae Holley of Samson, AL and one Brother Bill (Vera) Baine of Samson, AL; a number of special nieces and nephews  and a  special canine friend, “Buddy”.

The family would like to thank his sitter, Guille Braswell and Gentiva Hospice for their devoted love and care.
