Mr. Burl Frank Matson of Ashford passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015 at his residence. He was 81.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Todd Thorpe officiating. Burial will follow in Ashford City Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 to 2 P.M. Saturday, June 6, 2015. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, or the American Heart Association.

 

Mr. Matson was a member of First Baptist Church/Watermark Church Ashford. He was the Vice President/ manager of Whatley Supply Company in Dothan. He was a veteran of the US Army.

 

He is preceded in death by his son Danny Frank Matson, and great-grandson Payton Kindal Lovell.

 

Survivors include his wife Mary Matson of Ashford; daughter Reneau Lovell and her husband Ricky of Dothan; sisters Jane Cantrell, Nellie Mizzell, brothers Larris Matson, Willie Matson, and grandson Kindal Lovell.
