Mr. Charles Wayne Peterson of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Flowers Hospital. He was 71.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at the Ward Wilson  Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerry McAdams officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 A.M. Saturday, July 27, 2013, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice.

 

He loved traveling, woodworking, Alabama Football, but most of all he loved his family.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee (Buck) Randolf Peterson and Vera Morriss Peterson, three sisters, and one brother.

 

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Peterson of Dothan; daughter, Denese Burt of Dothan; step-daughter, Debra Adkinson of Marianna, FL; sons, Terry (Hut) Peterson and his wife, Marilyn of Headland; Charles E. Peterson and his wife, Teresa of Headland; sisters, Judy Peterson of Midland City; Mary Ann Owens and her husband, Rickey of Midland City; Margie Peters and her husband, Marvin of Rehobeth; brothers, Kenneth Peterson of Midland City; Byrd Peterson of Dothan; Len Peterson and his wife, Marie of Dothan; Billy Peterson of Abbeville; Pete Peterson and his wife, Melinda of Abbeville; Tommy Joe Peterson of Dothan; grandchildren, Lauren, Chase, and MacKenzie Peterson, Trent and Nash Burt, several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

 

Pallbearers will be Roger Wells, Mack Jarrett, Lemon Johnson, Harvey Flowers, Robert Lowe, and Jimmy Adkinson.
