Mr. Coy Bennett McKinnon, age 66, a resident of Ozark, died Saturday, April 19, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness.


Mr. McKinnon was born on July 4, 1947, the son of John Bennett McKinnon and Katie Smith McKinnon.  He was a carpenter in the construction industry and of the Baptist faith.


The family requests Memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, AL  36111.


Coy was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Teri Harrell; three brothers, Bobby, Jimmy and Billy McKinnon; and a sister, Christine Williford. 


Survivors include his wife, Janice McKinnon, Ozark; a daughter, Pam Watson, Ozark; a son, Billy Kennington, Ozark; two granddaughters, Ashley Whitt and Angel Kennington, both of Ozark; three Grandsons, Steven Scroggins, Headland, Kevin Scroggins, Ozark and Brandon Harrell, Headland; two great-grandchildren, Molly Whitt, Ozark and Kyle Scroggins, Headland. 


Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
