Mr. Daniel Carmichael (Michael) Hart, age 58, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday August 7, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lynn Nesbitt officiating and Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home directing. 

The family will be receiving friends from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Saturday prior to services.  The family requests that in lieu of Flowers, contributions be made to one’s favorite charity. 

Mr. Hart was born on November 28, 1955 in Dothan, the son of Dr. Kirby Lamar Hart and Celeste Carmichael Hart.  Michael and his brother William founded Harts & Flowers Florist in 1977.  He was a 1974 Graduate of Houston Academy and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  Michael Loved Auburn Football and enjoyed Golf. 

He was preceded in death by his father in December 2002. 

Survivors include: daughter, Candace Marie Hart Goodwin (Jim), Marietta, Ga.; mother, Celeste Carmichael Hart, Dothan; 3 grandchildren, Cristanne, Garrett and Ryder Goodwin, all of Marietta, Ga.; sister, Celeste Hart Martin (Marty), Chancellor; 3 brothers, Dr. Lamar Hart (Susan), Dothan; William Hart (Bonny), Dothan; Gary Hart (Rhonda), Dothan; nieces & nephews, Dr. Kirby Hart, Dothan; Daniel Hart, Greenville, S.C.; Katie Hart, Auburn; Davis Hart, Dothan; Hillary Dunham, Huntsville; Hayden Hart, Dothan; John Eiland, Headland; first cousins, Dr. John Flowers, Dothan; Ila Lewis, Dothan; Archie Carmichael, Dothan; Ellen Mazyck, Tallahassee, FL.; Marion McMahon, Middleburg, Va.; Michael & Graves Bell, Atlanta, Ga.; special aunts, Nancy Bell (John), Atlanta, Ga.; Martha Foy, Dothan; several great nieces and great nephews; cousins and special friends, Jimmy & Carol Pruitt, Bruce Knop, Stan Jenkins, David Waters, Fred Moody, Tommy Brantley (Vickie) and Rickey Brantley. 

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Dr. Steve Stokes and Nurse Cindy Tanton.
