Danny Dewayne Shirah Dothan passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at his residence. He was 58.

 

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Mt Enon Baptist Church with Reverend Coley Holloway officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Mt Enon Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will be accepting flowers.

 

Danny was a retired Dothan Police Officer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching Alabama Crimson Tide football.

 

Danny was pre-deceased by his loving mother, Frances Parrish Shirah; brother, Jerry Shirah; grandparents, and several aunts, uncles and other extended family members.

 

He is survived by his son, Mason Shirah of Cottonwood, AL; father, and step-mother, John and Billie Shirah; brother, Tommy Shirah (Sherri) of Dothan, AL; step-sister, Bobbie O’Connor (Trav) of Jacksonville, FL; step-brother, Woody Garner (Rebecca) of Jacksonville, FL; nieces, Jessica Woody, Jennifer Shirah, and several other family members.
