Danny Lee Helvey, a resident of Ashford, died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 58.

 

Memorial services for Mr. Helvey will be held at 2 PM Sunday November 23, 2014 at the home of Joseph and Kayla Hodges, 192 Nathan Woods Road, Pansey, AL 36370. Flowers will be accepted and may be sent to the home.

 

Mr. Helvey was born April 29, 1956 in Jefferson County, Missouri to Herman and Ruby Viola Hawks Helvey. He moved to Ashford and has resided there for the last 27 years.

 

Survivors include his wife, Pearlie Crooms, Ashford; daughter, Tiffany Helvey; sons, Kelvin Hodges (Tiffany), Eddie Hodges (Heather), Randy Hodges (Jackie) Joseph Hodges (Kayla) and Brian Helvey; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Diane Smith, Yvonne Russell (Raymond), Annette Eaton (Steve); brother, Dennis Helvey (Donna).
