Mr. David Dewey Sellers, age 87, a resident of Graceville, FL passed away Friday September 30, 2016 at Campbellton- Graceville Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2016 at Glover Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cottonwood City Cemetery with Kendall Glover directing.

The family will be receiving friends at Glover Funeral Home from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.  Flowers will be accepted.

Mr. Sellers was born April 28, 1929 in Houston County the son of Emmett Sellers and Bonnie Woolsey Sellers. He was a 1948 graduate from Cottonwood High School. He was retired from the U.S. Army after 23 years of service having served in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Exum Sellers, son, David Sellers Jr., brother, James Emmitt Sellers, three sister- in- laws, Elzie Exum Sellers, Doris Sellers and Marlene Sellers; two brother-in laws Lester Vickers and Billy Earl Crooms, grandson Dawson Sellers.

Survivors include: daughter, Pam Creel, Destin, FL; grandson, Kasey Creel, Auburn, AL, daughter- in- law Beth Sellers, two granddaughters Lydia Kennedy and Melissa Sellers, Dothan, AL, two brothers, Carl Sellers, Cottonwood, AL and Robert Sellers, Dothan, AL; two sisters, Luverne Vickers, and Sue Crooms, Pansey, AL; numerous nieces and nephews.

  Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
