Mr. David Paul Emblom, age 59, a resident of Dothan, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  He will be remembered as a good husband, father and as a man of God by those that knew him the latter part of his life.


Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 17, 2017, at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Pat Jones officiating and Kendall Glover directing.


The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 to 10:45, Monday prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS, 66675.


Mr. Emblom was born November 30, 1957 in Dothan, Alabama, the son of the late Aldon George and Antionette LaPiner Emblom.  He graduated from U.A.B. with a degree in industrial sales and marketing.  He was employed in the electronics sales field.  He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Willowbrook Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama.


Survivors include:  his wife Jeanie Thomas Emblom, Dothan; a son, David Paul Emblom, Jr., Aurora, Colorado; one daughter, Kelsey Eve Emblom, Huntsville, AL; a brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Robert (Wanda) Emblom, Dothan; two sisters, Debbie Emblom, Dothan; and Mary Emblom (Dave) Weiland, Columbia, SC; a niece, Jenny Emblom Castro; five nephews, Dr. Benton Emblom, Garrett Givens, Brian, Reagan and Cason Richards.
