George Mason “Rusty” Guilford, III, a resident of Dothan, died Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Flowers Hospital. He was 54.

Memorial services for Rusty will be held at 3 PM Friday, November 6, 2015 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Reverend   Jonathan Blair and Reverend Bruce Spivey officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2 PM until 2:45 PM prior to the service and immediately following the service.

Rusty was born December 4, 1960 to the late George Mason and Jo Frances Palmer Guilford, Jr. He was a 1979 graduate of Geneva County High School and attended Livingston University. Rusty was an outside salesman in building supplies for many years and was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan, enjoyed fishing and cooking. He attended Ridgecrest Baptist and was a member of Johnny Oppert’s Sunday School class.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Douglas Seay Guilford, Dothan; son, Mason Douglas Guilford, Dothan; two daughters, Hanna B. Guilford Mills (Steven), Cottonwood, Hailey Jo Guilford, Wicksburg; three grandchildren, Dallas Payne Hale, Serenity Jo Taylor, Mackinzie Mills; sister, Melissa Justice (Kip), Hartford; sister in law, Linda Odom (Randy), Columbia; nephews, Zach, Noah, Seth Justice and Chris Odom; niece, Jennifer Odom, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
