Mr. Gerome Woodham, age 88, a resident of Ashford (formerly of Belle Glade, Florida) died Friday January 15, 2016 at the Henry County Health and Rehabilitation Facility in Abbeville after an extended illness.

Memorial service will be held 2 pm Saturday, January 23, 2016 at  Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jim Bostick officiating and Kendall Glover directing.  Burial will follow at Chalkhead Baptist Church Cemetery near Ozark at a later date.

Family will be receiving friends following the service.

Mr. Woodham was born on August 26, 1927 in Dale County the son of Herman & Blunia Grantham Woodham.  He was retired as the owner of the Woodham Market in Belle Glade, Florida after 30 years.  Mr. Woodham and his wife moved to Ashford in 1984 and he attended Bluff Springs Baptist Church in Ashford.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Sue Moring Woodham.

Survivors include: son, Greg Woodham, Ashford; daughter, Susan Diane Grotha (Jim), Deland, Fl.; sister, Evie Blair, Selma; several nieces and nephews.
