Mr. Glen Lamar Lewis of Ashford passed away Friday, February 8, 2013. He was 63.


 


Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, February 11, 2013, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Eric Norris officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery, Pansey, AL with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


 


The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday, February 10, 2013. Flowers will be accepted.


 


Mr. Lewis was a retired Army Veteran who served honorably in Vietnam, where he was wounded and was awarded the purple heart, as well as  many other service awards and medals. He was a member of the Shady Grove Holiness Church and was of the Christian Faith. He loved his wife and all of his children and grandchildren.


 


He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Lewis, and his mother, Carolyn Whitfield.


 


Survivors include his wife, Annette Lewis, his children, Brandy (Shane) Pullman, two sons, John Michael (Wendy) Lewis and Jacob Scott (Kimberly) Lewis, brothers and sisters, George Lewis, Mobile, AL; Charles Gregory (Nancy) Lindsey of Lynn Haven; Sammy Lewis of Gordon; Sister, Wanda Peters of Donalsonville, GA; fifteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, step-daughters, Teresa (Michael) McLedon of Gordon and Mechelle (Chris) Gordon of Ashford.


 


Special friends remembered: Bubba Vann Tommy (Susan) Mills, Ray Hodges and Dennis.
