Mr. Harley Gus Sikes of Geneva passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016.  He was 84.  Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Sam Totten officiating and Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Samson Building Fund, 100 W. Main St. Samson, AL 36477.


Mr. Sikes was born in Collins, Ga. on December 4, 1931, to the late Allen and Tressie Lynn Sikes.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Samson.  He graduated from Collins High School and later joined the US Army.  He served his country during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired in 1975 as a First Sergeant.   He was preceded in death by his brother, Hugh Sikes. 


He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Willie Pearl Sikes of Geneva; and his sister, Vondell McNair of Collins, Ga.
